The Last House and Coco Tangalla are proud to be associated with a local school borne out of the disastrous tsunami in 2004. Following damage and destruction to some of the neighbourhood schools, and in the memory of the owner’s late wife Sarah, money was donated to build a small primary kindergarten.
Generous funding from benefactors in Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and many other countries has helped the school grow into a shining example of Montessori methods.
It continues to need funding, and every time a guest stays for 2 nights or more, $5 from any bill payment goes directly to fund Santhosa School.
Manor House Concepts has always engaged and respected the community each of the concepts operated in and is hoping to set up other sustainable community programs in different areas in the Island.
